Rainforest to Reef Adventure

4 Days in the Rainforest at Cotton Tree Lodge
Located in the Toledo District, in the remote region of Southern Belize, boasting miles of unspoiled coastal mangroves, tropical broadleaf forests, wetlands, and river ecosystems. 4 Days on a private island at IZE –South Water Caye
Called “One of the most beautiful and exclusive islands in Belize” by The Rough Guide, South Water Caye is a private 14-acre Caribbean island with a unique marine biology field station and private cabanas. Imagine an island less than a half mile long, covered with white coral sand, tropical flowers, and coconut palms, surrounded by warm, crystal clear water, enveloped in coral reefs that wrap more than half way around the island. Imagine snorkeling through barrier and patch reefs teeming with fish and colorful coral gardens just steps away from the white sandy beach.
We couldn’t find a more perfect location if we tried! Located directly on the Belize Barrier Reef South Water Caye, so pristine UNESCO has named it a World Heritage Site.  The most idyllic place imaginable to expand your mind and body while in paradise. IZE’s yoga platform looking out over the reef is the perfect place to feel the fresh ocean breeze on your face while enjoying morning and afternoon yoga sessions.
IZE’s accommodations are charming island cabanas nestled in the mangroves on the eastern shoreline to take advantage of the cooling trade winds. They are so close to the water’s edge that you will awaken to a view of the barrier reef and the sound of waves gently lapping the shore beneath you. Mornings and evenings can be spent swinging in your hammock on the secluded deck of your cabana or watching the sun come up over the reef.
Although our island paradise is completely off the grid, cabanas have private bathrooms with hot water showers and the open-air dining features some of Belize’s best cuisine.  This is not your ordinary yoga retreat vacation! Expect to leave with more than just a tan, you will gain a deeper understanding of complex ecosystems of this beautiful country.
